~Beach Cleanups: Beach goers often come to the beaches in Manzanillo and leave their trash behind. Availability of trashcans is scarce so when you do come visit the beaches please take what you brought with you. Colima Surf Side participates in promoting “Playas Limpias”, in English said Clean Beaches. Get involved, ask what days CSS picks up trash along the beaches, and join us.

~April 4, 2010. Ricardo Delgado Montes completed an international Judging and Officiating Course in Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca. With this certificate Ricardo can Judge local and national surf tournaments.

~March 7, 2010. Paraiso Kids surf tournament in Armeria, Colima. Kids of all ages and levels come out to surf and compete.

~February 20 and 21, 2010, Pascuales surf tournament in Tecoman, Colima. A local surfer from Santiago won first place at this tournament. Check the CSS: Photo Gallery to see more of Hector “Guero” Soto’s prize-winning tube action pics and be right in the barrel with him.

~November 14 & 15, 2009. The super popular activity for all beaches in Manzanillo is the Skim Fiesta event.

~October 31, 2009 Cowabunga II, surf tournament. A Halloween event held on the beach. Locals dress up in costumes and surf to receive  unique prizes. Fun for the  whole family. Local boy Bam Bam from Santiago won best wave and received a trophy, t-shirts, stickers, and most importantly…food.
